Yukon
Klondike's cousin with no deck to turn: every card is on the table from the start.
The aim
Move all 52 cards onto four piles, one for each suit, starting with the ace and going up to the king.
How the cards are laid out
- There are seven columns. The first has a single card.
- The other six have some face-down cards with five face-up cards on top.
- There is no deck: all the cards are dealt.
How to play, step by step
- A card can go onto a column when it is one lower and the other colour, such as a red 6 on a black 7.
- You can pick up any face-up card, together with every card on top of it, even if those are not in order. Only the card you pick up has to fit where it goes.
- When you move the cards off a face-down card, it turns over by itself.
- Only a king can go into an empty column, with any cards on top of it.
- Aces go onto the suit piles, then the 2 of the same suit, and so on up to the king.
Tips
- Turning over the face-down cards matters most. Look for moves that uncover one.
- Keep a king ready before you empty a column.
